Blurring the lines between simulation and realism.

How it started...
My exposure to flight simulator hardware started when I was just a kid and used a simple Logitech joystick to fly around in Microsoft Flight Simulator 98. In my mind, at that point, it couldn't get any better than that.
Fast forward nearly 25 years later and i found myself nestled into my DIY home cockpit I designed and built after the world shattering release of MSFS 2020. During that build I learned so many things I never knew anything about, including the fact that things like yokes, throttles, and virtually any item in a flight simulator cockpit could be DIY'd.
After making plans to relocate the cockpit to a different area in our home, I knew I wanted to rebuild it bigger and better, and part of that was the idea of making it modular so that it could adapt to several different planes within the sim. I knew that had to start with the yoke. To obtain full immersion I needed a yoke that I could quickly change to match the aircraft I wanted to fly, and that's when the idea for the Aviator yoke was conceived.

Where it's going...
The final plan was never to just make a yoke with a couple handles and call it good. The idea of the Aviator yoke reaches far beyond that, and I intend to take it there.
I envision an entire ecosystem of handles being developed for the Aviator, and I plan to accomplish that by sharing my current and future designs with the community in an open source format to allow others to expand upon the designs, make them better, and even contribute new designs I haven't had the chance to tackle. I want the Aviator to be thought of as the true "simmer's yoke", one that was made by simmers for simmers.
There are many other exciting ideas and surprises on the horizon with the Aviator yoke, and I hope you'll go along with me for the ride!
